
When you turn on your OLED television, light blasts out of thousands of sensors through a few layers of hardware into your face. As the light travels through those layers of hardware, it gets diffused and reflected and reduces in brightness significantly. Unfortunately, this results in a dimmer picture than the sensors are actually capable of.
