Samsung rolls out the Android 13 beta for the Galaxy Z Fold 2

  • Samsung has opened up the One UI 5 beta program to Galaxy Z Fold 2 owners.
  • The beta includes all of the improvements found in Android 13 and the changes Samsung made for its devices.
  • This beta is the precursor to the Galaxy Z Fold 2’s final major OS update.

Yesterday, Samsung expanded its Android 13-based One UI 5 beta update to the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4. Now it’s opening up its beta program to owners of the Galaxy Z Fold 2.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 launched with Android 10 and was guaranteed three major OS updates. That means that Android 13 will be the final major OS update owners of the Fold 2 can expect to receive. While the stable version of One UI 5 still isn’t ready for its debut — even for Galaxy S22 devices — the beta version is now available to download in South Korea. The update should come to other regions shortly after.
