Cloud-based gaming for AAA games is slowly becoming more mainstream, and now a major player in game accessories is planning to jump into this business in a big way. Today, the long-running PC and gaming accessory maker Logitech announced plans to launch its own cloud gaming handheld device.
Logitech stated it will partner on the software side with China-based Tencent Games for the new device. It is also working with Microsoft’s Xbox Cloud Gaming and Nvidia’s GeForce Now cloud gaming services so that its device should support hundreds of high-end PC and console games out of the box. It’s possible that other cloud gaming services like Google’s Stadia and Amazon’s Luna could support the device as well, but no concrete details on that just yet.
